Trusty Mason Jars

July 29, 2010

Oh, mason jar. You’re so simple yet so faithful. You’re so plain yet so beautiful. You’re so elementary yet so complementary. You’re a trusty old friend, and I’d like to say thank you.

You make lovely place markers.

And what a delightful centerpiece you provide!

You don’t even cry out for attention. You just step right in and fill your role exquisitely.

You’re always keeping me on my toes with new uses at the ready.

What, dear reader, have you thought of to do with a trusty set of mason jars?

I love this entry and I’ve been meaning to photo-document the many ways I use mason jars. I use them for parties and showers. Stick a straw in them, wrap a name identifier around it and you’re set. They are also the best jars for making homemade salad dressing- easy clean up.

Maybe soon I have one.

I agree, mason jars are the perfect home and party accessory. I adore mine! I love the ideas I’m seeing lately for using them as party favors…with cookie ingredients or something similar inside.
