This page contains extensive information about submitting articles, photos, products and press releases to Southern Flourish. We ask that you please review the instructions for your specific submission carefully before contacting us.

{ ARTICLE SUBMISSIONS }

Interested in writing for Southern Flourish? We are always looking for fresh and talented new writers for upcoming issues. Here’s the catch: We get A LOT of inquiries from potential writers. The best way to grab our attention for the magazine is to guest blog on the site. As we assign articles for each issue, we’ll go through our talented pool of past writers and guest bloggers to assign the best girls (and guys!) for the each article. To submit your guest blog post, follow the steps below NOTE: Given the nature of our publication, only writers currently living in Southern states will be considered.

1. Write a short, sweet guest blog post between 200-500 words.
2. Include 2-5 photos with your post. Keep them under 550 pixels wide for optimal viewing pleasure.
3. In the text for your post, be sure to include notes about where the photos go. For example: [photo1234.jpg goes here!].
4. Source all of your photos. Period. Posts that don’t source photos won’t be considered.
5. Send your post (with photos attached) to southernflourish [at] gmail [dot] com.
6. Your post will be added to the queue. We’ll let you know when it’s your turn!

{ PHOTOGRAPHERS & ARTISTS }

Interested in photographing and/or illustrating for an upcoming issue? We are currently looking for southern-based photographers and illustrators to assist with upcoming issues. To be considered, send an email to southernflourish [at] gmail [dot] com with a link to your portfolio site. Assignments are on spec basis.

{ PRODUCT SUBMISSION}

We have received requests from companies both large and small to send product samples for consideration for publication. Below is an address to which you may mail packages. NOTE: Receipt of products does not guarantee publishing in future issues. We do consider all submissions and encourage you to submit products relevant to an upcoming issue. Summer 2010 will focus on weddings; Fall 2010 will be our food issue; Holiday 2010 will include an extensive gift guide.

{ PRESS RELEASES + MEDIA KITS }

We welcome press releases and will consider all we receive for future coverage. Despite the fact that we are an online publication, we actually encourage you to submit releases to the P.O. Box below. We receive a large amount of email on a daily basis and a printed release and/or media kit is an excellent way to get our attention.
